The Club have continued their busy proactive business during lockdown and have appointed a new U18s manager for the coming season.  Victor Holloway joins the club from Leiston and has already started work to set up his coaching and management team.

With the season currently on hold, and uncertainty around the completion of the season, Victor takes immediate control over the squad following the promotion of Paul Bliss into the Reserves management team.  It remains to be seen whether football will continue this year, but if it does the pair will work closely to ensure a smooth transition.

Victor is a fantastic addition to the club at such an exciting time in our development. Vic started at Waveney before joining Norwich City Ladies Reserve team. Most recently Vic has worked at Leiston FC predominantly with the reserves and U18s. On top of this he has been involved with various youth development projects in lowestoft, establishing pathways for players aged 13-21 in the area.

With this appointment the club were looking to bring in additional quality to the club, to enhance the current management workforce – adding good people is as important as adding good players and that was a prime consideration in the search.  We expect to confirm shortly additions the club within Victors coaching and management team as the club continue to grow and develop for the upcoming season.

Victor stated  I am delighted to be given the opportunity to play a part in the exciting project at Great Yarmouth Football Club. I am looking forward to meeting and working with everyone from the tea lady to the players. The last year at Leiston FC has been a wonderful learning curve and whilst I am grateful for everything I’ve learnt, I am looking forward to continuing the next chapter of my football journey at this wonderful club.

There is a great culture already here, thanks to the previous u18 management team, Rob and the hierarchy of the club and we can’t wait to work with the exciting prospects at our disposal. our aim is to continue this good work and the ethos of helping as many of them progress through the club pathway into the first team. My team and I can’t wait to get started and can promise to not only give our all, but to also fully immerse ourselves into this fantastic community.”

Vic will now be working to get a picture of his squad for next season – if any players are interested in getting involved with the U18s for the remainder of this season, or ahead of the 2021-22 season – please get in touch direct.  Mobile: 07527 994369

(Harry Amey). The reserves have seen the return of Daniel Nolan to the Reserves and the promotion of Bliss from the u18s.
