Following our earlier announcement regarding the club looking to establish a Ladies team for the 2021-22 Season, we are delighted to announce our new Ladies Management team for the coming season.

Luke Hart will lead the team which will also include Sean Morley for the upcoming campaign. The club will be applying for membership within the Norfolk Women and Girls Football League to field an 11-a-side team for next season. It is hoped that if there is sufficient interest, the club would like to add a 7-a-side development team either this season or the following year.

Luke has vast experience in the Ladies game, formerly a manager of Bungay Reserves and Kirkley & Pakefield ladies where the team were unbeaten all season and narrowly lost out to Ipswich Town Ladies in the County Cup final at Portman Road. He later formed East Coast Ladies and his experience in the ladies game, and with experience of setting up new sides, is a fantastic addition to the club.

Joining the team is also Sean Morley, who currently manages Gorleston Rangers u16s and sees this as a positive pathway to support current youth players into the adult game. Sean has managed girls sides for a number of years and the blend of experience between the two is a really exciting start for our new Ladies venture.

This is just the beginning though, the club committee is 100 percent behind establishing a really positive girls pathway into adult soccer, to mirror recent success from our Youth/18s into men’s football. We continue to look to add to the team and would urge any interested parties to get in touch with the club. Getting 1 team ready for the new season is exciting, but the prospect of adding a development side is a hope for the new season, and could be a reality if there is enough interest.

Both Luke and Sean are really excited about building a Ladies programme throughout the club, and the club has plans to increase the number of girls only sides with the aim of providing the best local pathway for girls in the local area. It is hoped that in time the Ladies team can compete at a higher level to become one of the leading clubs in the County, following in the successful footsteps of Wroxham and Wymondham ladies.
