The early league fixtures have been released, with fixtures up to and including the 11th August released by the League today. With the normal disrupted Home start for Yarmouth due to other ground users, we face a series of away trips and we will begin with one of our furthest trips of the season in our first game when we travel to Whittlesey – a mere 92 miles away trip.

Whittlesey Athletic make their move into this league as part of the FA restructuring process, from the United Counties League, where in the 2020-21 season they were sitting in 9th position having played just 12 games, with a record of 3 wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats.

The Bloaters are not unfamiliar with distant away trips on the first game of the season, having been sent to March Town last season on the opening day, where they saw a 90th minute penalty deny them a draw, with March shading the contest 2-1.
