At the Clubs AGM at the end of June, a new club constitution was formally adopted, finally aligning the Youth and Adult Strands of the club like never before. Whilst always existing under the same banner, this move marks the formalisation of the integration, with Harry Amey taking a role on the Executive Club committee as a Vice Chair (Youth) alongside Martyn Sinclair (Adult).
The good news with the youth section doesn’t stop there though, as new Chairman Harry Amey and the team of coaches/youth strand committee and volunteers have overseen some fantastic growth over recent weeks which has seen the successful launch of the Mini Kickers & Mini Bloaters section, and the creation of 4 new teams for 2021-22 with a new U7 and U8s alongside 2 new U11 Teams at the club.
We have welcomed in some fantastic new coaches and volunteers within the Youth over this time as well as the elevation of Paul Hubbard to Youth Secretary.
All Youth players this season will benefit from the Cheapest Football offer in the county, which the club is subsidising for 2021-22 as a post-covid supporting gesture to all our families – with players paying a maximum of £50/for the season – which also includes a brand new club training kit for all youth players in 2021-22.
Covid has hit families hard in the area, and following 2 disrupted seasons the club wanted to give something back to support the development and growth of the youth strand for the season ahead.
We continue to look at adding new players and teams over the coming weeks – so if anyone you know is looking for a new club or new football challenge – please get in touch with Harry – firstname.lastname@example.org
There are a number of exciting developments which will effect the youth in the coming months, so plenty to look forward to for the Young Bloaters.
