Saturday 17th October 2020.  Report by Martin Baxter.
On a sunny and bright October afternoon top of the table Yarmouth reserves entertain Dussindale and Hellesdon hoping to bounce back after their first taste of defeat this season away at Long Stratton in their previous match.
It is also good to see Kyle (Block) Howell starting and getting back to fitness with a run out in the ressies.
Yarmouth start the game in a very positive fashion and create several early opportunities, the best of these being from a corner in the 12th minute when Harvey Johnson flicks the ball just past the left hand post.
The home team carry on attacking and on 15 minutes a decent chance is presented to Alex Dalton who unfortunately puts his effort wide of the goal and then Dalton once again has a fierce drive well saved by the visitors keeper in the 29th minute.
In the 33rd minute an Ethan Hodge header goes just over the bar and the Bloaters just cannot find the net despite being totally dominant.
As was written in the script on the stroke of half-time with their first decent effort on goal the visitors take the lead with a far post header from Richard Brent following a corner.
However Yarmouth still have time to almost equalise with a header from a free kick which once again fails to find the target.
Half-time: Yarmouth 0 Dussindale and Hellesdon 1.
The 2nd half is a different game as the visitors take the momentum following their late 1st half goal and almost double their lead on 56 minutes with a strike that hits the woodwork.
They also create 2 more decent chances which are well saved by Bloaters keeper Nicholls.
Yarmouth are now huffing and puffing without really testing the opposition keeper enough and despite a very close last minute effort from a  free kick the game ends with a  disappointing defeat for the bloaters.
This game was a classic case of not taking advantage of your early goal scoring opportunities and then having it come back to bite you and hopefully the boys will learn from this.
Team: Nicholls, Halliday, Jacobs, Mackenzie, Leslie, Howell, Dalton, Jones, Johnson, Grimmer, Hodge. Subs: Moyse, Kemp, Harmen.
Man of the match: Ryan Jacobs.
